Question: Who has permission to create new accounts?
Answer:
By default, users are allowed to create new user accounts via the Invite Users box and _Admin page in the sidebar.
User accounts are sub-pages of the _Admin page; therefore, setting page permissions for the "Create new sub-pages" field for _Admin page will determine who has the privilege of creating user accounts.
Here are the instructions:
1. Navigate to the _Admin page. You can select "Manage Users and Groups" from the "Administration" section in the footer of every page.
2. You will assign a form to the end of the url for the _Admin page. Append this to the url:
?form=/System/Forms/PermissionsForm&edit=1
3. Confirm you want to set permissions for this page.
The full url will be something like:
http://mywiki.jot.com/_Admin?edit=1&editStyle=&form=/System/Forms/PermissionsForm&revision=&forceEdit=1
4. Set permissions for the "Create new sub-pages" field to the users or group you want to be able to create new accounts.
5. Save
