Question: How do I add a comment to a page?

Answer:

Adding comments to wiki pages

Comments added to a page are displayed below the page content in the order they are posted.

How To Do It:

1. Scroll to the bottom of the page and click the add comment button in the Comments area.

2. Enter your comment in the text field and click Save when you are finished.

JotSpot saves your comment as a new page and displays its contents inline whenever the page you commented on is viewed. (Comment pages are sub-pages of the page to which the comment was added.)

You can delete a comment from a page by clicking the Trash can icon for the comment. To revise a comment, you can edit the comment page itself.

Tell Me More:

Comments will be especially familiar to you if you have used blogging tools before. With most weblogs, commenting is the only support given so readers can enter their own content into a blog post.

In a wiki, readers who have been given the appropriate page permissions can enter content directly onto the wiki page itself as well as into a comment.

As you define the nature of your project (or just the purpose for a particular set of pages), consider whether you would prefer to have your readers contribute material into the wiki page or the comments or both ... or neither.

You (or your administrator) can set page permissions to encourage and support these different objectives.
