Topic: Is there a way for guest users to create their own accounts, becoming named users?

Details:

Here is my problem: I would like guests to be able to roam the wiki, but as there are over 200 users of my group at any one time (and considerable weekly flux) I don't want to enter each user by hand myself.  Is there any mechanism I can put in place for users to self register from WikiHome?

JotSpot offers a feature whereby guests can register for accounts. Please see Stanford University Law School Professor Lawrence Lessig's Code book remix to see this feature in action.

As you can see, our registration feature allows someone to enter a screen name, their full name and email information. An account is created and their account information is emailed to them.

This feature will be available to all JotSpot users in the next few weeks. For now, you can make your JotSpot account Guest Accessible. This will allow guests (no user name / password; no login required) to access your account. You can then give them permission to create new user accounts.

Please read KbArticle88 to learn how.

Hi,

Was this functionality added yet (allowing people to register in their own names)?
