Every JotSpot page has an email address and inbox.
Every JotSpot page has an email address. It's listed at the very bottom of each page.
The email address is composed of the Page Title, the character '+' and an anti-spam code set by the wiki administrator (if you know the admin user password, then that's you).
You can use the email feature for lots of things:
- Capture email conversations around a topic by CC:ing a relevant page in the wiki.
- Create an impromptu mailing list by simply CC:ing the wiki. Your messages will be added to the wiki, archived, and made searchable.
- Attachments are extracted from your email and put in the wiki. To upload a bunch of files at once, just attach them all to an email and send it in.
You can always delete an email message. Just click on the email and then select "Delete this page" from the "More actions" pulldown menu.
1. Locate the email address of a wiki page you want to email. It's listed at the bottom of the page.
2. Open your email client and send email to the wiki page address. Type the address exactly as it appears on the page.
3. You should see your email listed in the "Messages" section below.
