Setting themes globally
Topic: change the look and feel of the default JotSpot user interface.
Note: we cover changes to all other Global Settings here.
1. Click Global Settings from JotSpot Actions in the More actions menu:
2. The Global Settings page offers a variety of different settings. It is a viewable JotSpot system page (titled WebspaceConfig).
Click Edit Page to modify settings unless a specific button is already displayed (to change themes, click Customize Theme below):
3. You can use a custom corporate, team or personal logo. To do this, select Yes and specify a location where JotSpot can find the logo file you wish to use:
As per the instructions, you can load a logo (really, any graphic, including a photograph) either from another location where you have stored it on the Internet or from a wiki page to which the graphic is already attached:
When you Save the Global Settings page, the logo will be displayed on every page of your wiki in the upper right of your work area:
4. The theme page offers a wide variety of settings. We won't explain every detailed theme setting here, but choose one for illustration. Modify any color using the same method. We will change the current page tab background color here from blue (FFB200):
You can enter a color value directly. Often, it is more convenient to click-select the color-picker (this is a widely available utility, not created by JotSpot:
Since the color-picker tool which is launched offers its own help files, we won't repeat detailed instructions here:
We will assume that you have experimented with the color picker. Assume you selected a color with the values FFB200. You would enter those values into the Page Colors field shown above. Clicking Preview shows the color change:
When you Save the page, you will see the changes to your wiki as well as to the specific field whose values you modified:
