Version 3, changed by jotspot_jim. 05/17/2006.   Show version history

Edit wiki pages

Topic: edit pages in your wiki.

How To Do It:

1. Click the Edit Page button.

2. Edit (change) the content of your page.

When you like your content, click Save to make your edits permanent.

Tell Me More:

JotSpot assigns Version Number 1 to your newly created page after you save it the first time.

JotSpot assigns the first saved version of an edited page as Verison Number 2.

If you edit the same page again (and save again), the (now) newest version will be numbered '3'. Each newly edited page (or version) is given a unique version number.

The bottom line? None of your JotSpot changes vanish unless you delete a page entirely. You can't lose anything in Jot, at least not for long.

This section should also describe how to update the breadcrumbs to a page when the original link to it is no longer desired/used. (may require code change.)

This is the sort of page that could really make things work smoother for us.  We could, in fact, create user pages that can only be accessed by the client being discussed.  Right now, the main page can only be accessed by me, Wells, and Ray.  If anyone else tries to call it up, they see nothing.  Permissions can be granted to multiple or single users.

We can also share other things - like address books and calendars - again with only those permissions we designate.  This means no need for the Exchange server to share calendars and etc.  Wells can attach files to the newsletter page, I can download them, make changes, and re-upload.  There are likely other uses for this thing that I don't know about yet.  I'm just learning.  But this could be an incredibly powerful tool, it seems to me.
